Brunswick Street, Fitzroy Nth

A 1890,s house in Brunswick Street North Fizroy. The architects probably Taylor & Fitts and Smith & Johnson who combined to design the Eatern Hill Fire Station. This house was turned into a boarding house in the 1960s and when bought the interior was basically stripped.

Work done was to insert dormer windows into the roof making the building 3 levels. The 3rd level incorporated a new bedroom/living, dressing room, bathroom and roof terrace. The views wer 360 degrees.

The entrance hall was reconfigured and extended the feeling of the street facade into the house. This gave architectural depth to the building.

Stunning chance to design the interior of a charming early century home in Brunswick.
